Well… whether they call it “slow parenting,” “raising free range children” (or maybe even “parenting with the Four Foundations”) people are finally catching on to the idea that when we do too much for our children we actually create the results we’re trying to avoid.

Yes, the super-involved helicopter parent has the best of intentions… to protect their children from all of society’s real or imagined ills.  Instead, they are setting their kids up so that they are ill-equipped to handle routine stuff — never mind adversity.
